Class Dojo Points
At St Leonards Primary School, we use Class Dojo Points as a positive way to recognise and celebrate students who consistently demonstrate our school values and meet our school expectations.
Students can earn Dojo Points throughout the day when they show behaviours that reflect our values, such as being respectful, responsible, kind, resilient and engaged learners. By focusing on positive choices and celebrating success, the Dojo system helps to build a supportive and encouraging school culture where every student can thrive.
Dojo Points act as a form of positive reinforcement, encouraging students to continue making great choices both in the classroom and around the school. Staff regularly acknowledge and reward students when they demonstrate behaviours that contribute to a safe, happy and successful learning environment.
As students collect points, they can choose to cash them in for a range of exciting rewards and experiences. These rewards are designed to be fun, meaningful and memorable, and may include:
Visiting another class for a lesson or activity
Turtle Time
Extra class games
Principal's Assistant for the day
Special jobs and leadership opportunities
Lunchtime activities
Teacher's helper experiences
And many more exciting rewards!
The reward options available throughout the year can be seen in the photos above.
Our Dojo Point system helps students understand that positive actions have positive outcomes, while also creating opportunities for students to feel recognised, valued and connected to our school community.
