Our Physical Environment

Our School Buildings

Our learning spaces are bright, inviting and spacious. Classes are located in the main building which was completed in 2010. The open design enables collaboration and flexible learning. The tiny original school house now houses a well stocked library and 'the shed' is a spacious maker space and sports storage area.

 Our Grounds

The school grounds are spacious and include a lot of flat surface play areas, including a netball court and oval. Gardens that have been developed by students, cubbies and play equipment make our outside places interesting and interactive. The SLOSS (St Leonards Outdoor Sensory Safe Space) at the front of the school is a quieter relaxing play space, with the rear playgrounds being used for more active play.

Our Outdoor Classroom

Our students have a rich outdoor classroom. A place where they are immersed in community and the natural, marine and coastal environment. Our campus is in the midst of the St Leonards township, just 100 metres from the beach and Port Phillip Bay and only a few minutes from Edwards Point Nature Reserve and Swan Bay. Our students regularly engage in environmental learning which takes them on local field trips. They support foreshore planting and coastal maintenance with Bellarine bayside and the Bellarine Catchment Network. Students have opportunities to learn canoeing and snorkeling and to become ambassadors for our wonderful natural environment.
